Timeline example

Here is an example how you might write one event from your timeline: 9:30 Vaccines In the morning we were called down to the staffroom one by one.  We nervously waiting in line watching our peers have needles stabbing into their flesh like a knife. I was terrified for my turn. The person in from of me gets called up to go.  I can hear my heart beating and I can feel the sweat dripping down my face like a waterfall.  Someone comes out of the room gripping their arm and sobbing in pain.  The door creaks open, the nurse peeks her head out and says "YOUR NEXT!" As I slowly walked to the chair, I sat down.  The nurse says in a devilish voice "don't worry it won't be too bad." Then she said "would you like me to count?"  I responded "ok".  It was the longest three seconds of my life. Online timeline tool

Text Talk

Our text talk sessions will begin on Friday.  Six group leaders have been chosen per class to lead a small group discussion on a piece of chosen text.  Each group leader will choose a peer to evaluate their skills. If you are a group leader, please make sure you come prepared on Friday.  I have made a note of all leaders in the calendar if you need reminders. An example of expectations had been modeled in class. Please come and see Ms.Bly is you require any assistance before Friday.  You should be thinking about something you have read that week and come prepared with a printout or electronic copy of it.  You need to be able to summarize your text for the group.  Preparing questions and connections in advance makes it more engaging and interesting. Here is an example of the evaluation: Text Talk – Assessment Your name: Class: Name of presenter: Topic of group discussion: Criteria 4- excellent 3 –good 2-basic 1- not meeting Leader came prepar
