Reading Responses
The students have been learning about how to thoughtfully respond to reading. As a class we came up with question that might be answered in a response and an example to use as a resource.
The students will be asked periodically to submit their best response for a mark.

Example: In the book Holes, our main character Stanley Yelnats
has been sent to Camp Green Lake because he’s been accused of a crime. I think that Stanley did not commit the crime
he has been accused of. First of all, Stanley has
been cursed by his no good dirty rotten pig stealing great-great grandfather
and this brings the whole family bad luck.
Because of this curse he is always at the wrong place at the wrong time
and this made him look guilty. Stanley’s
father also doesn’t have luck because his inventions never work. That is why I
think that Stanley Yelnats is innocent.
