Thursday test

On Thursday the students will have a reading test.  This will be on finding the main idea in a text which we have been working on for a few weeks.  There will be a section that the students will have to read that they have not seen before. There will also be a comprehension section on a short story we have been studying together all week. Comic assignment

The students have been working on finding and communicating the main idea through a variety of texts.  They had a small assignment to create their own comic that represented one main commentary, message, lesson or theme. Reading Strategies
