Research notes rubric


The next step of the research assignment will be to take research notes from the information the students have found.

Here is the rubric the students can use to ensure they are taking strong notes.  This will be evaluated in the upcoming days.

Amount of relevant  information shows strong research skills.

Insufficient information. Assignment criteria cannot be met.
Information recorded in students own words.

Information recorded neatly and organized
Point form notes written in own words.

Notes are recorded and organized in an extremely neat and orderly fashion

Point form notes mostly written in own words.

Notes are recorded legibly and are somewhat organized.

Some original point form notes but many copied 
phrases.

Notes are recorded and legible but difficult to read
Most notes copied directly from source.
Minimal attempt to rephrase or use pointform or with teacher assistance
